Chapter 130: A Photo Journey

This past week we spent a day at Washington Slagbaai National Park on Bonaire. It is one of the most incredible places we have yet visited. Rather that describe it in words, we thought we would let photos tell the story. We hope you enjoy.

Two layers of formation when the tectonic plates where higher. Land first formed on the lower level and then new land mass was created on top of it after it sank
These large boulders were thrown up on shore during tsunamis long ago

Malmok Lighthouse ruin
This lighthouse was never lit-after construction, they discovered it was too close to the sea, which would have damaged the light
The white is salt left after the seawater has evaporated
Flamingos!
